The berries from heaven
Our flagship beer Cleethorpes Pale Ale contains sea buckthorn berries.
These cool little dudes are a super fruit - smaller than blueberries but they have 12 times the amount of vitamin C in an orange! So, while we can't say our beer is healthy, the berries we put in every brew definitely are. And they are vegan friendly.
Sea Buckthorn has an impressive nutritional profile - with 14 essential vitamins, omega’s 3, 6, 9, the rare omega 7, super charged anti oxidants, hundreds of other nutrients, and anti-inflammation properties. It’s a fruit with almost everything the body needs!
The berries smell amazingly citrussy but they have a sweet taste that's even better (it's often used in jams). They are solely responsible for that Cleethorpes Pale Ale sweet finish you enjoy on a Summer's day.
